Artwork description: This is a very serious work of art, contrary to appearances, contrary to the impression created by the blaze of colors. It is the Afu!-neral Wreath, or the Wreath of Life, the Wreath of Rebirth. It is a symbol of growth and development, juicy and lush, like in the Garden of Eden. The wreath is woven with lyrics from the 1986 song „There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” by The Smiths. As some say, it is a song about love that allows you to live despite the gray brutality of life. As others say, it is a text about the desire for suicide, which does not come to fruition, because in the face of absolute love, life ceases to matter. So it can last, in its imperfection, because love fills it with beauty, happiness, joy, like flowers filling this wreath with a wealth of forms and colors.

The background transitions from browns to pink hues, creating a warm, textured ambiance. Dark rhombus patterns subtly emerge within this gradient, adding depth. Below the bouquet, a light green tablecloth with a delicate brown ornamental design spans the bottom of the frame.

The vase itself is a muted gray-purple, adorned with: white teardrop shapes bordered in orange and blue, ultramarine blue hearts, and an inscription. The text, rendered in bold ultramarine, reads, „and I miss you like the deserts miss the rain,” evoking the nostalgic lyrics from „Missing” by Everything but the Girl, a wistful summer anthem from 1994. The vase’s design and the nostalgic quote infuse the painting with a tender sense of longing, harmonizing with the vibrant energy of the bouquet.

The background transitions dramatically, shifting from a vivid red at the top to a deep, moody blue at the bottom, adding depth and atmosphere to the scene. Below the vase, a light blue tablecloth adorned with a geometric pattern stretches across the bottom of the composition, grounding the artwork.

The vase itself, rendered in a warm, earthy tone, bears an inscription:

„You look so pretty and I love this view
Don’t bother looking down
We’re not going that way
At least I know, I am here to stay”

The quote is taken from the song „We Fell in Love in October” by girl in red, adding a personal and emotional layer to the piece.
